Formerly the jail/corrections division, our current staff consists of 5 non-sworn uniformed officers responsible for the temporary holding and processing of certain types of arrests, as well as paperwork and records pertaining to all other bookings. They have the responsibility of transporting inmates, maintaining the security of City Hall, serving as bailiffs in Municipal Court, and providing public information in the evenings and on weekends via the window office located in City Hall.   These officers also complete code enforcement activities within the City of Cullman under the direction of Municipal Court.

The City of Cullman Animal control is responsible for handling animal related calls and complaints, including enforcement of ordinances and regulations involving animals. Cullman City has a newly adopted animal control ordinance, enforced by this unit.   For animal related calls, contact central dispatch at 734-1434.
